Something New for the New Year

Happy New Year to all that read this. So what Have I been up to recently well, I've been working on writing up the first five chapters of a new story titled 'The Gate and The Angel' which is a crossover story between the worlds of Robotech/ Macross in the universe of Battlefortress Archangel and the Stargate SG1 and later the Atlantis.

Also I've been working on getting my software back online on my new laptop that I got for Christmas, the problem is I'm having to convert back to PC from Mac, not that there is much of a difference in the two systems now days, and building up my traditional  skills and designing some images to  increase my portfolio.

Well that's it for now I'll leave my followers with a image that I've done recently, A Robotech/ Macross inspired take on the USAF Deadalus from Stargate universe.

(Deadlus Class Mk2)

The design of it is based on a number of sources mostly Robotech/ Macross, Stargate, Command and Conquers GDI Kodiak, Gundam 00 with a hint of Space Battleship Yamamoto/ Starbalzers.

New Home, New Starts

Ok so to begin with, sorry that I've not updated her that often with January being my last post, but when you have to use the bus to get internet access, and some idiot takes offence to your knee just touching the back of his seat when the bus stops taking it out your stuff was the main reason, but I have not been idle as i have taken the time to go back to basics and have been doing work old school.

All my recent work can be seen over in my deviant art account, so feel free to cheek it out, and let me know what you think. Thank-you.

As well as the mentioned nut-case on the bus, I have also had to move home again, but that is a long story and will not bore you with it.

Happy new Year

Hay and Happy new year to any one that even looks at this.

So I hear you ask what do I have planed for the year that is 2013, well for starters I plan on actually finishing Book one of Battlefortress Archangel and farming it out to a friend, Jay's work over on Deviant Art, that is if he will convert it into a script for me ^^;.

Next I plan on doing something with an old project from High School, maybe turn it into a short motion comic, or as we animators say an 'animatic' as a showcase of both my drawing skills and my animation skills, while learning to use a 3D software package, might start small with 30 day trial of an example of maya (not mine), as my 3D skills are some what errrm.... rusty.

I also intend on learning how to colour stuff digitally using only Photoshop for creating a piece, which I will place in my Portfolio and place working image's on here for people to look at my progress.

If you have any tips, hints, shortcuts or suggestions to aid my progress please drop me a line as I can always use any friendly advice for assisting my style.

Well that's all the personal professional goals set for this year, now to tell you what I plan on a networking, well I plan on going to at least one London Comic Con, most probably the one in October and if I can fund it Bradford Animation Festival in November, Hopefully with examples of my work to show to the exhibitioners to get professional feedback on my work.

Quick and Dirty work

A quick and dirty piece which is all digital, and as I haven't done any drawing, traditional or digital in ages, I feel like I'm back at high school I feel that it is ok, will be replacing with a clean version when it's done.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year, sorry I haven't updated this in a while but have been busy both with work and looking for a new job.

So first off what have I been doing, well first off I have been busy in work in the shoe shop I work at, you know the kind of job that pays the bill's, and as it was nearly back to school when I last posted, you can understand how busy it was.

I've also been looking for job in the animation field, but as I am not that good I've fallen back on writting Battle fortress Archangel.

and lastly I've been working on stuff for my portfolio, which has taken up a lot of time, but I think I'm improving ^^; as well as entering the odd competition over on Deviant Art, in this case the retro future design a t-shirt competition.
